Job description

In your duties, you will be required to:

  • Play a system integrator role in terms of specification, definition, analysis, development, testing, and certification of hydromechanical systems, including interfaces with different users
  • Coordinate product development activities of hydromechanical system suppliers, and interrelations with other systems and interfaces
  • Ensure the quality of the design, its validation, its certification, and its delivery
  • Ensure the achievement of product development milestones and deliverables for each phase (as author, verifier, and approver)
  • Solve technical problems in a multifunctional environment
  • Be involved in system design and integration
  • Review the design and documentation of all aspects of the systems
  • Verify the quality of the content of supplier analyses
  • Validate and verify system requirements and system performance through design reviews, analyses, aircraft and test bench tests
  • Define, prepare and carry out qualification and certification tests
  • Collaborate with suppliers in the investigation and resolution following test results
  • Prepare or revise qualification or certification reports
  • Liaise with the constraints, reliability and safety RM&S loads, simulation, customer support, and operations departments
  • Identify issues and obstacles to monitor and communicate progress;
  • Prepare reports or presentations

Your profile:

  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering with at least seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant experience
  • You have experience in the design, integration, development, and certification of hydromechanical systems
  • You are familiar with airworthiness rules and the certification process
  • You have good oral and written communication skills in English (required)
  • You are motivated, enterprising, organized, autonomous, and able to work with limited supervision
  • You must be a team player, able to work with suppliers and customers
  • You are a dynamic person with initiative, a keen sense of responsibility, and good judgment
  • You have knowledge of MS Office software (essential)
  • You have knowledge of CATIA, Matlab, Simulink software (an asset)

Key skills:

  • English – essential.
  • Level: PbLevel 4 – level 5 will be considered for the right candidate.
  • Scope of the position: Responsible for supporting design modifications, developing system-level understanding, collaborating with stakeholders, preparing and maintaining compliance documentation, and supporting production and service-related issues.
