Job Description
In your duties, you will be called upon to:
- Act as a systems integrator regarding specification, definition, analysis, development, testing, and certification of hydromechanical systems, including interfaces with various users
- Coordinate product development activities of hydromechanical system suppliers and interrelations with other systems and interfaces
- Ensure the quality of the design, its validation, certification, and delivery
- Ensure the achievement of product development milestones and deliverables for each phase (as author, checker, and approver)
- Solve technical problems in a multifunctional environment
- Be involved in system design and integration
- Review design and documentation of all aspects of the systems
- Verify the quality of the content of supplier analyses
- Validate and verify system requirements, then system performance through design reviews, analyses, aircraft testing, and on the test bench
- Define, prepare, and perform qualification and certification tests
- Collaborate with suppliers in investigation and resolution following test results
- Prepare or review qualification or certification reports
- Liaise with constraints, RM&S reliability and safety loads, simulation, customer support, and operations departments
- Identify issues and obstacles to track and communicate progress
- Prepare reports or presentations
Your Profile:
- You hold a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering with relevant experience of at least seven (7) to ten (10) years
- You have experience in design, integration, development, and certification of hydromechanical systems
- You are familiar with airworthiness rules and the certification process
- You have good oral and written communication skills in English (necessary)
- You are motivated, entrepreneurial, orderly, autonomous, and able to work with limited supervision
- You must be a team player, able to work with suppliers and clients
- You are a dynamic person with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility, and good judgment
- You have a knowledge of MS Office software (essential)
- You have a knowledge of CATIA, Matlab, Simulink software (an asset)
Key Competencies:
- English - essential.
- Level: PbLevel 4 - level 5 will be considered for the right candidate.
- Scope of position: Responsible for supporting design modifications, developing system-level understanding, collaborating with stakeholders, preparing and maintaining compliance documentation, and supporting production and service-related issues.
