Responsibilities
- Implement the engineering project management vision through the execution of associated change management processes and tools.
- Perform project management tasks related to configuration change management projects to develop detailed engineering project plans. This will require interfacing with multiple functions inside and outside of engineering as well as interfacing with suppliers to obtain, among other things, deliverable planning details.
- Identify risks and issues related to the various projects assigned to you and report them in the system accordingly.
- For the specific function(s) to which you will be assigned, prepare recurring (weekly/monthly) reports on project-related deliverables for the engineering management team.
- Develop a network of colleagues within the company with whom to compare working methods to define and apply standards and best practices.
Profile
- You have a degree in engineering, project management, or equivalent relevant experience;
- You have a minimum of 8 years of engineering experience in technical project management
- You are familiar with aircraft program development activities and have an understanding of configuration management, change management, and certification requirements of approved design organizations (ADO);
- You have strong project management skills, are able to establish priorities, and align team members on priorities;
- You are resourceful and able to find creative ways to achieve the desired result, while adapting to changing circumstances and new obstacles;
- You are a recognized leader, capable of building and inspiring a cross-functional team, while leading your team in a changing environment toward company objectives;
- You are able to deploy continuous improvement initiatives;
- You have good oral and written skills in English and French;
- You are able to simplify complex problems and summarize risks, key actions, and next steps;
- You have demonstrated the ability to work within a team composed of people from diverse backgrounds and different cultures;
- You must also be a person with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility, and good engineering judgment;
- You have excellent interpersonal skills, capable of developing relationships with internal stakeholders and influencing external stakeholders;
- You are a good communicator and are able to listen, coach, and guide employees
- You are able to leverage your process knowledge and network to deliver on your commitments and influence decisions to achieve the best possible outcome.
