Working under the direction of the Senior Manager – Digital Products, the Product Owner supports the daily operations digital products for the Crews team. The person in this position is responsible for maximizing business value through the implementation of digital capabilities that support operational control, crew management, flight execution, operational disruption management and real-time operational decision-making.

The Product Owner acts as an intermediary between business stakeholders, Operations teams, technology partners and delivery teams, ensuring that product improvements are consistent with operational priorities, safety requirements, customer experience objectives and strategic modernization initiatives. The position requires a strong background in Agile delivery, stakeholder management and the ability to translate complex operational requirements into actionable product outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Product Vision and Strategy

  • Contribute to the definition and evolution of the product roadmap for the digital capabilities of the Daily Operations team.
  • Translate operational challenges into product initiatives that improve efficiency, reliability, and employee experience.
  • Contribute to long-term modernization programs to support Jeppesen Crew Tracking, cabin mobility, operational information communication and Air Operations platforms.

Product Backlog Responsibility and Prioritization

  • Take ownership and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, operational impact, risk reduction, and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and manage user stories, features, acceptance criteria, and release priorities.
  • Ensure that product backlog items are clearly defined and ready for development and testing.

Requirements and Stakeholder Management

  • Lead requirements definition workshops with business stakeholders and technology stakeholders.
  • Facilitate alignment sessions to clarify scope, assumptions, business rules, and integration requirements.
  • Act as the primary voice of customers and operational stakeholders within Agile delivery teams.
  • Build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups, with a focus on delivering value.

Agile Delivery and Sprint Execution

  • Collaborate closely with Scrum masters, developers, architects, Quality Assurance teams, and business subject matter experts.
  • Participate in sprint planning and review, product backlog refinement, and retrospective sessions.
  • Provide continuous clarification to delivery teams regarding business requirements and operational workflows.
  • Ensure delivered features align with expected operational outcomes and business objectives. Support production release deployment, transition planning, fallback activity preparation, and go-live operational activities.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business validation, and stakeholder approval activities.
  • Collaborate with Change Management and Operations teams to ensure smooth implementation of new capabilities.
  • Monitor post-launch performance and conduct continuous improvement activities.
  • End-to-end support for operational workflows spanning multiple platforms and teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting airline operations, crew management, flight operations, operations control center, assignment, or mobility products and assets.
  • At least three years of proven experience as a Product Owner in Agile environments.
  • Experience in managing operational or mission-critical digital products.
  • Knowledge of airline operational systems, crew management platforms, operational information communication, or integration-focused ecosystems.
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Agile delivery practices.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability to promote overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent understanding of data-driven decision making and operational workflows.
