Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Recruiter is responsible for attracting, engaging, and recruiting talent using various human resources and social media platforms, and building relationship networks.

The Talent Recruiter must provide recruitment support to meet Air Canada's recruitment needs and client groups through proactive initiatives, by participating in recruitment activities across all Air Canada divisions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full recruitment cycle for designated client groups by screening, shortlisting, and interviewing candidates (in person and virtually) in coordination with hiring managers.
• Develop and manage strong business relationships with clients to ensure quality recruitment and guarantee their satisfaction.
• Define the necessary requirements for open positions with hiring managers.
• Track candidate activities and other recruitment metrics using the applicant tracking system and customer relationship management system.
• Leverage the applicant tracking system, professional networks, and social media for sourcing initiatives, including campaigns, links with passive candidates, and recruitment projects.
• Recommend sourcing strategies for open positions to attract passive candidates.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition leaders in developing results-oriented attraction strategies for current and future recruitment needs.
• Establish and develop a network of promising candidates and maintain relationships for current and future mandates.
• Contribute to Air Canada's commitment to acquiring and creating a diverse workforce.
• Participate in continuous training to keep up with changes within the department and the company.
• Travel occasionally for recruitment activities and events.

Qualifications

• University degree in human resources or a related field
• Experience recruiting for technical or management positions or mass recruitment (preferably at a national or multi-location level)
• Strong understanding of Canadian laws governing employee recruitment, selection, and hiring
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with online applicant tracking systems (Taleo, Phenom, PeopleSoft, notably)
• Experience recruiting in an agency, an asset
• Knowledge of employer branding strategies, recruitment marketing, and social media
• Ability to think outside the box; proactive and engaging attitude
• Proven experience providing exceptional customer service and improving customer satisfaction
• Sense of initiative, organization, and rigor in a dynamic environment
• Flexibility in working hours and availability for travel, a requirement
• This is a hybrid position that requires office presence
• Bilingualism (French and English)
• Demonstrate punctuality and reliability to support the overall success of the team in a fast-paced environment.
