Service Bulletin Writer - Mechanical Structure

You have technical experience on aircraft structure, you have already worked as a structural assembler or as a methods agent and you want to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!

The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Service Bulletin Writer - Mechanical Structure to join our Technical Publications team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada).

Your challenges:

• Review and approve design changes and SRIs to ensure in-service feasibility;

• Write and edit Service Bulletins for complex inspections and modifications;

• Have the ability to propose modifications to engineering to minimize in-service impacts;

• Write Service Bulletins in 'Simplified Technical English' writing mode;

• Validate Service Bulletins at operators or authorized service centers;

• Review suppliers' Service Bulletins;

• Make tool requests and approve tool concepts;

• Create and approve the parts list for Kits and Delivery Status;

• Validate and incorporate comments from airworthiness authorities;

• Create 'Advance Order Material' for urgent Service Bulletins.

Your profile:

• You have a college diploma in aircraft maintenance/construction and five (5) years of experience in aviation (such as technician, methods agent or technical writer);

• You have good knowledge of aircraft systems and structure;

• You master CATIA, S1000D, SAP, Microsoft suite programs and the Google suite;

• You are a team player, responsible, a good communicator and negotiator;

• You are able to manage stress and push other departments to meet deadlines;

• You are client-oriented and able to interact in French as well as in English (written and spoken);

• You have a superior level of written English.
