The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for one supply chain and quality manager to join our General Procurement team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada). You will work closely with Airbus Procurement and multi-functional teams (Canada, USA and Europe).
You will be part of the General Procurement team and accountable for the full cradle-to-grave performance management of all aircraft-related strategic, risky and/or critical suppliers in your scope. Your role as supply chain and quality manager will be to:
- Manage supplier risks;
- Participate in the selection of strategic suppliers with the MFT (providing Supply Chain Management criteria and ranking for the selection report with assessment of shortlisted suppliers);
- Implement supplier performance monitoring (OTD/OQD), supplier development (SQIP) and CID missions (Correct/Improve/Develop).

Your challenges
Supplier Control - 30%
- Manage and perform all activities for supplier approval, qualification and surveillance in scope.
- Act as Quality Responsible for Supplier Control Reviews, supplier approval and final qualification declaration.
- Ensure follow-up using standard Airbus tools in accordance with General Procurement and Airbus policies, processes and procedures.
- Keep all related supplier quality data up to date and interface with aviation regulations, perform gap analysis and follow-up action plans.
- Maintain updated supplier lists entering AIRBUS POA scope (in relationship with buyers and internal requesters).
- Verify Quality Assurance Plans, perform and support supplier site audits for qualification, surveillance and compliance.
- Support supplier CID missions or interface them with the organization in charge of improvement activities at suppliers; manage periodic or exceptional reviews with Airbus organizations to review supplier quality assurance and compliance (including external referentials such as EN9100).
Supplier Selection - 30%
Apply the GP Supply Chain Performance supplier selection process: evaluate suppliers for compliance with Supply Chain Quality requirements through standard or specific assessments; complete the Supply Chain Performance selection report including ranking, evaluation results, previous performance and supplier risk analysis; coordinate with SCQM and POA/DOA Supplier Control for aircraft-related activities to ensure compliance with EASA/TCCA requirements.
Supplier Performance Management - 10%
- Ensure OTD and OQD performance indicators and implement regular monitoring; launch CID activities to correct performance deterioration.
- Perform delivery and quality performance reviews with high-risk/strategic suppliers and coordinate supplier assessments to evaluate capability/capacity.
- Manage supplier action plans following assessments, recoveries or improvement missions; contribute to strategic supplier segmentation.
Supplier Risk Management - 20%
- Manage, identify and mitigate supplier-level risk by performing on-site capability assessments (ESCCA+...).
- Manage internal customer work-package risk and prioritize mitigating actions through CID or SQIP.
Supplier Development and Improvement Management - 10%
- Enhance supplier relationships by supporting them in building robustness in their supply chain and create continuous improvement plans or roadmaps.
- Improve supplier performance through advanced actions and support the Supply Chain & Quality Improvement Program in line with GP commodities' strategy and objectives.
- Liaise with other SCQMs where necessary and propose, define and launch improvement plans with suppliers to continuously improve performance and capability.
Your boarding pass
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
- Ideally five (5) years in Procurement, Quality, or related functions; preferred experience with increasing levels of authority and accountability.
- Fluency in written and verbal French and English.
- Ability to communicate across hierarchical levels and work in a multicultural environment.
- Project Management and Quality certifications desirable; Quality/Lean Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management experience; industrial background is a plus.
- SAP experience and Airbus Quality systems experience are advantages.
Travels
This role may involve some regular domestic and international travel, up to 25% at times if supplier audits and visits are required.
