Main Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and execute computer programs to perform aeroelasticity calculations.
- Participate in testing to support new developments, production, and in-service troubleshooting.
- Analyze test data, correlate finite element models (FEM) to perform analyses, interpret results, and propose engineering solutions.
- Produce official technical documentation to communicate results and meet certification authority requirements as well as internal client needs.
Job Requirements
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree and have 3 to 5 years of experience in structural dynamics, loads analysis, or vibrations.
- You have practical knowledge of the Nastran SOL software [101, 103, 111, 144, 145] and are familiar with DMAP modifications (DMAP alters).
- You possess a good understanding of the finite element method (FEM), frequency analyses, and unsteady aerodynamics.
- You know industry standards, certification requirements, and applicable guides.
- You are a team player with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility, and good judgment, capable of working under pressure.
- You possess excellent organizational and analytical skills and are interested in process improvement, knowledge capitalization, and sharing within the team.
- You have good writing and communication skills. Excellent proficiency in technical writing in English is an asset.
- You have programming experience with MATLAB, Fortran, C/C++, as well as Linux and Windows scripting.
- You possess intermediate to advanced knowledge in technical documentation using commercial software such as the Microsoft Office suite or Google Workspace (GSuite).
- You have an understanding of instrumentation and data acquisition systems (asset).
- You are or have been a Design Approval Designee in the field of dynamics, which is a major asset.
