System Configuration Manager - Temporary

The System Configuration Manager is responsible for the proper and timely configuration of the Maintenance Management and Planning System (TRAX) and maintenance manuals (Toolbox and iTIMS) for Technical Control, task cards, and part number configuration.

Responsibilities:

• Establish workload priorities and assignments for Technical Data Writers or Controllers - Technical Data, which may include the creation and modification of task cards or maintenance manuals, the creation and modification of technical controls for tasks related to a maintenance program and ad-hoc modifications, and the preparation and modification of part number configuration.
• Provide guidance and ongoing support to team members, fostering a work environment that supports professional growth and development.
• Plan special requirements, such as major projects or urgent requests, which may include maintenance program revisions, cabin reconfiguration, escalation verification, etc.
• Ensure and monitor data integrity in TRAX, iTIMS, and Toolbox.
• Review workflows and ensure their efficiency to evaluate required timelines.
• Offer expertise so that Air Canada Maintenance benefits from TRAX technology.
• Hold regular team meetings.
• Document and maintain the Business Unit Process Manual (BUPM) process and standards to reflect current practices.

Qualifications

• Proven personnel and project management skills.
• University degree in a relevant field or equivalent is an asset.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software.
• Good working knowledge of applicable Company standards and other regulations (e.g., Canadian Aviation Regulations).
• Solid knowledge of the airline maintenance sector.
• At least two years of experience within Air Canada Maintenance, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the TRAX system, technical records, and airline maintenance planning is an asset.
• Knowledge of the IAMAW collective agreement is an asset.
• Knowledge of SGML and XML programming languages as well as markup language is an asset.
