Head of Configuration Management / Responsable de la gestion de configuration

The A220 Commercial Aircraft Program is looking for Head Of A220 Configuration Management (f/m) to join our New Development team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you contribute to the definition and execution of the A220 new development program plan.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as Head Of A220 Configuration Management will be to:

• Set-up, adapt and control the Configuration Management Plan for new project in close coordination with the Configuration Management team in place for the existing A220 program
• Define the Configuration Target and control the Configuration evolution through the development phases of the new project and in line with the Configuration management process.

Your challenges

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Is the Configuration Management focal for the A220 New Development Program;
• Manages the definition and evolution of the baseline for aircraft in your perimeter, and leads the definition and control of the target configuration and protection zone;
• Coordinates with DMU integration to ensure that all engineering changes have been properly embedded in the DMU prior to target configuration;
• Lead the interface activities between the new project change process and the legacy full change process, in accordance with the project change management plan, and, in particular, leads the legacy program Change Requests screening and make the link with the new project. Conversely, brings to the legacy change board the Change Requests needed on the new project that might be required for implementation on legacy platform prior to the target configuration;
• Secures the availability of the configuration management deliverables,
• Interfaces with FCO process and defines the introduction scenario of modifications, in accordance with the product offer.

Organization structure

• Reports operationally to the Head of A220 Development, Program Management Integration
• Reports functionally to the Head of Configuration Management

Your profile

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
• You have more than 10 years of experience in project management or program management
• You are experienced in Product Development context
• You have experience and interest in aeronautics
• You possess leadership qualities and demonstrate a high level of influence.
• You have strong analytical, planning, and problem-management skills.
• You are open-minded with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate a great ability to work in a team.
• You have a good sense of organization, time management, and are autonomous
• You have advanced proficiency with the Google Suite.
