Permanent full-time (37.5 hours)

As Payroll Manager at Rheinmetall Canada, your main challenge will be to produce the full payroll cycle and ensure the processing and follow-up of employee benefits for all company personnel (two entities, three sites, including one in Quebec, Ontario and Alberta).

We are looking for a person with strong rigor, able to prioritize tasks and with a great ease of adapting to change.

Main responsibilities

  • Perform all activities and provide technical support related to payroll processing (biweekly), including preparation of remittances for source deductions and reconciliation of insurance deductions on payroll.
  • Perform year-end checks, produce related slips and tax reports (T4, R1, Summary 1, training expense declarations).
  • Update payroll-related data, including earnings, taxable benefits and deductions.
  • As a resource person, administer the benefits program, particularly group insurance (act as administrator, respond to inquiries, handle billing, renewals, etc.).
  • Generate and manage various reports related to payroll data, group insurance, workforce, and HR performance indicators.
  • Ensure data integrity in the HR/payroll system and participate in continuous improvement of its efficiency.
  • Handle the administrative aspects of activities (drafting official documents; compiling various data; scanning).
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

The qualifications we are looking for:

  • College diploma in administration, accounting or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of Office suite tools.
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial payroll legislation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Good listening skills and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Autonomous, dynamic and enjoy working in a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and easily adapt to change.

Assets

  • Knowledge of the Dayforce (Ceridian) HR/Payroll system.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Knowledge of payroll standards across various provinces.
