Why join the team?

The position will join the Pratt & Whitney Canada Data team in support of the oneRTX: Process & Systems Transformation (PST) program. • Business-Driven Data Profiling - Review profiling results to identify business-impacting issues (e.g., outdated customer records, invalid material codes).
  • Define Data Quality Rules - Collaborate with DT Leads and Data Owners to define business rules for acceptable data quality thresholds and cleansing logic.
  • Data Cleansing Oversight - In conjunction with the workstreams, define criteria for data cleansing objects, validate cleansing actions, provide business context for corrections, and approve final cleansed datasets.
  • Legacy Data Mapping & Enrichment - Guide mapping of legacy fields to SAP structures and enrich data with missing business attributes.
  • Assist with data modeling and applying best practices.
  • Validation & Sign-Off - Review migrated data in SAP S/4HANA, participate in functional testing, and formally sign off on data readiness, with the prior approval of respective Business and Data Owners.
  • Ensure that integrations to boundary system databases are maintained (e.g., Data Lake).
  • Change Management & Communication - Educate business users on new data standards, support training, and promote data ownership culture.
  • Documentation & Reporting - Maintain detailed documentation of data processes, requirements, and outcomes. Provide regular reports and updates to stakeholders on data project progress, outcomes, and identified challenges or constraints.
  • Monitor the status of submitted user stories, data migration-related tasks and escalate required activities to respective stakeholders.
  • Intensive project phases will require 15-25% travel to major RTX facilities in the United States.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience in business, digital, or related field or an Advanced Degree and 7 years of experience.
  • Experience with mapping business processes, process improvement and providing training.
  • Strong project management capability - demonstrated ability to lead and manage large, complex digital technology projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise influential leadership.

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn, understand and interpret business processes; collaborate closely with the functional teams and Subject Matter Experts (SME) as a valued contributor to business results; and identify and escalate issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work laterally across business units and corporate functions to achieve universal results.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, system-thinking skills and attention to detail.
