Why Join Our Team?
We are looking for a technically proactive and highly cross-functional Advanced Industrialization Lead to define supply chain and manufacturing strategies for next-generation sustainable components (parts and modules), as well as to drive engine Assembly & Test (A&T) activities. You will contribute to manufacturing readiness level (MRL) maturity activities and play a key role in achieving industrial maturity for future propulsion programs.
In this strategic role, you will ensure that our supply base, partners, and production and assembly & test sites are competent, competitive, digitally integrated, and aligned with technical requirements and program schedules. The position requires a strategic, risk-managed approach, as well as the ability to innovate and operate within global supply chains in a demanding and highly regulated environment.
Join a dynamic, forward-looking team at the heart of aeronautical innovation. You will contribute to strategic advanced manufacturing decisions, collaborate with international partners and suppliers, and participate in defining the industrial strategy for sustainable propulsion systems. This is a unique opportunity to drive high-impact transformation in a collaborative environment that values technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
The position is based on-site in Longueuil, with flexible Monday-to-Friday hours. Frequent travel and variable schedules are also to be expected for exchanges with suppliers, partners, and internal sites (manufacturing and A&T).
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
- Lead procurement and manufacturing activities for critical components, modules, assembly systems, and tooling and test systems required for new programs (demonstrators, archetypes 1 to 10).
- Collaborate with the Advanced Industrialization Director, OPE leads, project managers, and industrial engineers to plan and execute RLPM milestones and production readiness deliverables in alignment with production plans.
Supply & Manufacturing Strategy:
- Define the make, buy, or partnership strategy for new components, integrating technical and operational requirements, and developing or selecting partners, suppliers, and technologies (precision casting, machining, coatings, additive manufacturing, etc.);
- Evaluate suppliers, partners, and production/assembly & test sites based on criteria of quality, cost, reliability, capacity, skills, and future technologies, with advanced industrialization engineers;
- Identify and implement dual/multi-sourcing strategies in collaboration with OPE teams to define risk reduction plans and establish standard factory cost (FSC);
- Negotiate long-term agreements (LTAs) covering pricing, non-recurring costs, schedule, maintenance, tooling, and contractual terms;
- Collaborate with the Partnerships team to develop risk-sharing models on industrial projects.
Delivery Assurance:
- Initiate and monitor procurement, manufacturing, and assembly & test processes by managing suppliers, partners, and production sites to ensure deliveries according to schedule;
- Manage line of balance and work-in-progress reports, and accurately communicate progress to internal stakeholders.
Optimization and Preparation:
- Involve suppliers, partners, and production sites from the initial development phases to optimize design and reduce costs through value engineering actions (DfC, DfM, DfA);
- In collaboration with cost control and engineering, establish and track the cost basis note and FSC, and identify alternatives to improve margins and limit variances;
- Track industrial milestones (FAI, PPAP, etc.) and ensure supplier, partner, and production site MRL maturity ramp-up with plans and schedules adapted to program milestones and rate ramp-up;
- Identify necessary CapEx projects (tooling, processes, infrastructure, new technologies) and prepare associated business cases;
- Support TRL and MRL evaluations of new technologies.
Project Management and Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, after-sales support, OPE, procurement, manufacturing, and A&T within integrated product teams (IPTs) to ensure alignment and facilitate the development of components and engines from design to project launch or closure;
- Be the primary advanced industrialization point of contact for suppliers, partners, and production sites, coordinating requirements, specifications, deadlines, and program expectations.
(*) IPTs are organized at the level of engine modules, assembly, and elementary parts. They are responsible for successfully meeting product requirements defined by the PMT throughout the design, development, manufacturing, and in-service support phases.
The position is based on-site in Longueuil, with flexible Monday-to-Friday hours. Frequent travel and variable schedules are also to be expected for exchanges with suppliers, partners, and internal sites (manufacturing and A&T).
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in aeronautics, supply chain management, mechanical, industrial, or production engineering;
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, manufacturing, or industrialization of aero-engine components, or in similar demanding sectors;
- Good knowledge of aeronautical processes and materials (casting, machining, coatings, additive manufacturing, Inconel, titanium alloys, composites, etc.) and processes in regulated industries;
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration, project management (planning, cost control, risk mitigation), communication, and problem-solving;
- Ability to influence complex, multi-site projects and drive change;
- Mastery of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), procurement tools, and supplier/partner/site performance tracking tools.
This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment; however, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand daily documentation and technical terms originating from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with international clients, suppliers, or colleagues.
Additional Assets:
- Experience in civil or military aero-engine programs;
- Familiarity with TRL/MRL frameworks, industrial maturity models, and risk assessments;
- Knowledge of automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 technologies;
- Mastery of CAD/CAM digital tools (CATIA, Siemens NX), PLM (Teamcenter), digital manufacturing, and data analysis;
- Ability to work in multi-site and international networks;
- Fluency in Polish;
- Six Sigma, Lean, or PMP certification.
What We Offer
- Retirement and savings plan program with employer matching;
- Collective insurance program;
- Advancement opportunities (career progression);
- Merit program or recognition program;
- Health and wellness program, including telemedicine;
- Recreational and sports club;
- Nearby daycare facilities;
- Accessibility via transit or public transit program and free parking.
