Your challenges:

The Aircraft Integration Lead is a high-level strategic and technical role within the Chief Engineering organization, focused on a major new development for the A220. Reporting to the Aircraft Lead Architect, you will ensure the seamless convergence of critical aircraft-level perimeters.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team composed of direct functional reports from the Chief Engineering office and broader Engineering workforce. You will act as the bridge between design, operations, and certification. This role requires a "big picture" systems-thinking approach, combined with the technical depth to troubleshoot and unblock critical path integration issues.

As the Aircraft Integration Lead, you will drive the successful performance of the following streams:

  • V&V & Requirements Management: Define and drive the global V&V strategy to ensure the design meets all high-level requirements in alignment with Design Assurance best practices. You will lead the effort to reinstitute proper aircraft-level requirement integrity and provide strategic oversight for aircraft-level integration testing campaigns. You will also actively contribute to the deployment of program-level best practices for requirements management feeding into the V&V process.

  • RM&S (Reliability, Maintainability & Safety): Enable the RM&S Engineering team to perform their duties effectively by ensuring they are fully integrated with other functions. You will act as the primary arbitrator for aircraft-level decisions and recovery plans should safety standards or reliability targets face challenges.

  • Certification & Airworthiness: Embed the Airworthiness function into the core development process to ensure the timely achievement of program milestones. You will steer strategic decisions regarding certification approaches and the applicability of regulations for this new development.

  • Operability & Design Maturity: Strengthen design maturity through a rigorous requirement-driven approach to address historical weak points. You will propose and manage the organizational setup and governance between the Mirabel team and the core competency center 1IO.

  • EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility): You will ensure the EMC function is fully enabled and integrated at the aircraft level across functions to fulfill its mission.

  • Aircraft Integration Management: A key component of this role is to ensure seamless aircraft integration activities. You will be tasked with deep-diving into major aircraft-level integration challenges, mobilizing the necessary expertise to define solutions and address performance gaps when required.

Your profile:

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field;

  • You have at least 15 years in aerospace integration activities, with a proven track record of leading technical teams through complex development and certification programs;

  • Comprehensive experience across the listed areas (V&V, Requirements Management, RM&S, Certification, Operability & Design Maturity, or EMC);

  • A strong background in implementing best-in-class requirement management practices to drive V&V excellence and design maturity;

  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed environment, providing technical steering to functional teams and making critical decisions to unblock program-level issues;

  • Proven ability to manage strategic crises by diagnosing complex technical blockers and executing effective recovery plans;

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead by influence in a multi-disciplinary, international environment.

This role may involve some travels for business (worldwide).
