The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a head of (HO) Programmes Control CM team to join our Programmes CM department based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada)
The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
Your role as Head Of (HO) A220 Programmes Control CM’team will be to lead a team of analysts and specialists in order to secure the operational execution of the ‘product’ change boards, the adherence to the operating process by the CM community and run the monitoring and continuous improvement of that scope.
The job holder covers the entire scope of the A220 CM activities group with a focus on the change process and works in collaboration with other HO functions such as in the Programme Development team where the PCLs (Product Change Leader) are located.

Your challenges:
As HO Programme Control Change Management :
You will Control CM by
- Managing the Change Control Boards (CCB) which includes the upstream preparation, data and prerequisites validation and agenda of product changes, as well as arbitration in session for the pre-CCB by delegation from the HO Programme CM department.
- Securing the CM deliverables for the selected large product changes.
- Ensuring an ‘Operator’ support to the PCL community in supporting their adherence to the change process.
You will support the development of the Product Change Request (PCR) dossier by
- Supporting delivery of PCR business cases with regards to use of templates or building dedicated business cases, as well as ensuring FLOW Mods sizing and monitoring.
- Hosting the CM ‘Community of practice’ with the PCLs and monitoring adherence to the change process.
- Delivering and updating the ‘CM operating Plan’ and communicating it for use by all functions.
You will drive the continuous improvement by
- Measuring the Performance and Quality of the CM process execution (CMPQ) and communicating the associated dashboard/KPIs.
- Identifying the gaps in competencies and processes to be jointly managed with PCL manager or CoC CM.
- Ensuring delivery of continuous improvement initiatives.
Your boarding pass:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business.
- 10+ years’ experience in Program / Configuration Management / Engineering.
- 5+ years in managing operational teams.
- Collaborative, Structured, and takes initiative in a challenging environment.
- Good Leadership skills.
- Good Business acumen
- Ability to communicate technically complex information with stakeholders and motivate team members.
- Applied skills in product configuration and change management
- In-depth understanding of organizations, processes
- Project Management skills with the ability to prioritize and contribute to multiple projects.
- Advanced level in English and fluent in French
This role may involve some travels for business (worldwide), 1-2 per year with colleagues in Airbus Europe.
Possible on-call duties during week-ends and/or holiday seasons.
