The Technical Lead (TL) is the operational technical liaison for the project manager within their scope. They handle day-to-day technical coordination to allow the manager to focus on project commitments, trade-offs, overall performance, and team development. In the manager's absence, they act as the liaison with other teams for operational and technical matters.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 🎯
· Receive new technical requests and support the assessment of the associated workload, as well as compliance with contractual agreements;
· Allocate, prioritize, and schedule technical work daily;
· Maintain an overview of the team’s workload and report imbalances, capacity constraints, and delivery risks to the manager;
· Coordinate interfaces with the offshore teams within the assigned scope;
· Extract and validate scope-specific KPIs, including OTD and FTR, and report any variances;
· Keep the scope tracking file up to date and ensure data accuracy and reliability;
· Review deliverables within their authorization level and facilitate the review and approval/sign-off process;
· Apply the company’s defined control processes and contribute to quality meetings for the assigned scope;
· Contribute to the production of deliverables based on the production capacity allocated and agreed upon with the manager;
· Identify technical risks and propose mitigation measures;
· Provide technical support to new team members and assist them in becoming familiar with the tools;
· Propose and document improvements to methods and efficiency;
· Act as the technical point of contact with the client for matters within the assigned scope;
· Escalate to the manager any issue that may impact contractual commitments, cost, schedule, or scope;
· Perform any other related duties.
YOUR PROFILE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR SUCCESS 💎
· At least 3 years of relevant professional experience;
· Excellent knowledge of the aerospace industry;
· Education in administration, business management, mechanical engineering – aerospace profile, or another related field;
· Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint);
· Proficiency in technical tools specific to the scope of work (e.g., CATIA V5, when required);
· Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken;
· Experience coordinating a technical team or working in a focal point role.
