Safran Systèmes d'Atterrissage is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major landing gear components for the Airbus A320, A330 and A350, and Boeing 787 models. State-of-the-art equipment is used for machining, polishing and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening and surface treatments.

You will perform, using handheld air tools or semi-automatic equipment, the honing of attachment points of main landing gear components, according to specifications. These operations require a high level of precision to create exact dimensions to subsequently accommodate other mechanical parts.

You will also be called upon to:

  • prepare the part and, if necessary, perform the setup on the equipment
  • inspect parts using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications
  • complete appropriate quality assurance documentation
  • contribute to the continuous improvement of operations and the achievement of objectives in terms of safety, quality, costs, and on-time delivery

Evening shift: Monday to Thursday from 2:20 PM to 12:20 AM

Note: Depending on collective agreement rules, the position could change shifts (day, evening, night, or weekend)

  • Remuneration for this position starts between $27.85 and $37.87 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training and your progression in acquiring skills related to the position, the hourly wage will increase up to a maximum of $42.04.
  • Shift premium of $1.30/hr

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required (Equivalence certificate not accepted)
  • Manual work experience or experience in the manufacturing field
  • Manual honing work experience an asset
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading (an asset)
  • Ability to use measuring instruments such as verniers and micrometers (an asset)
  • Good manual dexterity
