Location: Quebec (Lévis) : Perdiem: $150/day (for NON-local candidates)

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the foreman, you weld, trace, cut, shape, and assemble parts according to plans and specifications;
• You adjust and maintain your equipment, replace electrode wires, install joints, and work with patterns and templates to ensure flawless execution.
• You validate watertightness, operate profiling machines, ensure the assembly, alignment, and straightening of components, then deliver straight, solid structures that comply with quality and OHS standards.

Skills and qualifications

• DEP in welding-assembly OR;
• Experience in welding
• CWB 4-position, FCAW-M (CSA W47.1-M) Marine cards
• Reliability status

Additional information:

A CWB FCAW-M (Marine) competency card (according to CSA W47.1-M standard) for 4 positions qualifies a welder to perform flux-cored arc welding (Flux-Core) with gas shielding in all orientations: flat (1F/1G), horizontal (2F/2G), vertical (3F/3G), and overhead (4F/4G).

• Day: 4-day week x 10 hours
• Evening : 4-day week x 10 hours
• Weekend : 3-day week x 12 hours (paid 40 hours)

Specific security conditions (Government requirement)

Due to the nature of federal and military contracts executed on site, the selected candidate must:

• Be eligible to obtain a security clearance under the Government of Canada's Contract Security Program (CSP).
• Have a continuous residency history in Canada (generally the last 5 years).

You must be available for all shifts. Although we take your schedule preferences (day, evening, weekend) into account when creating schedules, these cannot be guaranteed.
