Engineering Business Specialist

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for an Engineering Business Specialist to join our Engineering team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada).

You will be part of the Transverse Engineering team, responsible for driving performance improvement, skills development, and the function's innovative and ambitious projects. The team organization is structured to promote autonomous cross-collaboration, mutual support, and collective learning.

Your role as a business specialist will be to develop analyses and coordinate continuous improvement projects in collaboration with the Engineering function's Leadership and their team, to achieve strategic objectives while managing cross-functional operational projects.

Your challenges:

  • Conduct analyses and propose the required improvements to achieve the strategic objectives of the Engineering function, supporting the Engineering Leadership team;

  • Lead operational projects for improvement and cross-functional structuring across all Engineering;

  • Prepare and support interventions or summaries for high-level communications;

  • Challenge the organization and methods in place to drive continuous development;

  • Influence the management team to support the best decision-making;

  • Ensure the follow-up of defined actions and investigate specific topics;

  • Maintain confidentiality and adapt your communication accordingly.

Your boarding pass:

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline;

  • At least 8 years of professional experience in engineering or business management;

  • Solid professional experience in a strategic support or project management role;

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and work organization skills;

  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office;

  • Ability to rally a team around a common mission;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;

  • Emotional maturity and ability to build relationships at all levels;

  • Absolute integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
