Job description

Do you have experience in aeronautics (min. 10 years), have worked in manufacturing, supply chain or quality, and are you looking to grow and develop new skills? The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Supply Chain Quality Specialist to join the team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada).

Your role

  • Ensure compliance of the part/site pair in terms of industrial qualification (update of the Qualified Part List).
  • Provide feedback on suppliers' industrial proposals during the call-for-tender phase.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with Airbus specialists (Design Office, Materials and Processes) for a given product family.
  • Manage industrial qualification and identify supplier industrial risks.
  • Eliminate poor quality at the supplier level.
  • Manage technically complex quality issues end-to-end from detection to long-term corrective action incorporation (including stakeholder management, executive presentation and governance).
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, skills and performance and contribute to their development.

Responsibilities / Challenges

  • Manage supplier industrial qualification through APQP methodology for Transfer of Work or New Part Introduction projects.
  • Eradicate non-quality at supplier: coordinate end-to-end dynamic containment with quality conformance teams, challenge supplier root cause analyses and monitor corrective action effectiveness.
  • Assess supplier capacity, capability and performance and contribute to supplier development.
  • Identify supplier industrial risks and propose mitigation actions.
  • Communicate progress of investigations and manage production and in-service impacts to Airbus stakeholders (program panel, chief engineer, ...).

Profile / Requirements

  • Proven project management experience (team management is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of industrial and aerospace businesses.
  • Proven background in supplier management within supply chain.
  • Ability to connect with internal customers, listen and demonstrate value proposition.
  • Assertiveness toward suppliers while being fair and collaborative.
  • Can-do attitude: solution-oriented and team-building.
  • English: negotiation level.
  • French: negotiation level.

Travel

This role may involve some business travel worldwide. Travel required: occasional domestic and overseas travel (<15% domestic and international). Possible on-call duties during weekends and/or holiday seasons.
