Aircraft Level Safety Specialist

You have experience in aircraft-level safety activities, you have worked in the field of aircraft safety and you want to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!

The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for an Aircraft Level Safety Specialist (m/f) to join our Safety and Reliability team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work closely with all systems specialists to carry out aircraft-level development and safety activities.

You will be part of the RMAS team responsible for the continuous compliance of safety requirements.

Your role as an Aircraft Level Safety Specialist will consist of developing, validating and verifying aircraft-level safety requirements, carrying out particular risk analyses and supporting development assurance for aircraft safety activities.

Your challenges:

• Carry out complex analyses to ensure continuous compliance with aircraft safety requirements,
• Contribute to the development of RMAS tools and medium and long-term plans to meet program needs,
• Update safety analyses and documents, such as Aircraft Safety Assessment Compliance Reports (AFHA, PASA, etc.) or Common Cause Analyses (PRA, ZSA, etc.),
• Propose solutions and participate in design changes,
• Work closely with A220 engineers, including suppliers, to implement design changes and resolve complex system-related issues,
• Prepare risk assessments for continued airworthiness.

Your profile:

• You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering,
• You possess solid relevant experience of at least ten years on development programs,
• You have in-depth knowledge of development assurance and aircraft systems safety for multiple aircraft systems,
• You know certification requirements and guidelines, such as CFR 14/CS Part 25, AC 25.1309, ARP 4754, ARP 4761, etc.,
• You know RMAS processes and tools and possess management skills and databases,
• Experience in requirement definition and RMAS process and tool development would be a major asset.
• You are a team player who shows initiative, a strong sense of responsibility and good judgment.
