Job Description
Do you have experience in aircraft safety activities, have you worked in the field of aircraft safety and do you want to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!
The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for an Aircraft Safety Specialist (m/f) to join our Safety and Reliability team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work closely with all system specialists to carry out development and safety activities at the aircraft level.
You will be part of the RMAS team responsible for ongoing compliance with safety requirements.
Your role as Aircraft Safety Specialist will be to develop, validate and verify aircraft level safety requirements, perform specific risk analyses and support development assurance for aircraft safety activities.
Your challenges:
- Perform complex analyses to ensure continuous compliance with aircraft safety requirements,
- Contribute to the development of RMAS tools and medium and long-term plans to meet program needs,
- Update safety analyses and documents, such as compliance reports for aircraft safety assessments (AFHA, PASA, etc.) or common cause analyses (PRA, ZSA, etc.),
- Propose solutions and participate in design modifications,
- Collaborate closely with A220 engineers, including suppliers, to implement design modifications and resolve issues related to complex systems,
- Prepare airworthiness maintenance risk assessments.
Requirements
Your profile:
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering,
- You have solid relevant experience, of at least ten years in development programs,
- You have in-depth knowledge of aircraft system development assurance and safety, for several aircraft systems,
- You are familiar with certification requirements and guidelines, such as CFR 14/CS Part 25, AC 25.1309, ARP 4754, ARP 4761, etc.,
- You are familiar with RMAS processes and tools and have management skills. Databases,
- Experience in defining requirements and developing RMAS processes and tools would be a major asset.
- You are a person who likes to work in a team, who shows initiative, a keen sense of responsibility and good judgment.
