This position is within the P&WC Customs Operations team. The incumbent will report to the Manager and be responsible for financial processes related to customs operations: performing analysis to evaluate financial impact, compiling information for all PWC entities worldwide, working closely with brokers to monitor daily fees, generating reports per site and product, defining KPIs, and producing data related to trade, identified opportunities and mitigation.

The role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders (finance, manufacturing operations, supply management, aftermarket operations) and external customers. Primary responsibilities include defining, categorizing and establishing pertinent financial information, identifying key opportunities, implementing action plans to minimize tariff impact for PWC and its subsidiaries, documenting processes and establishing procedures with customs brokers and customers.

Location

Longueuil — Monday to Friday, flexible hours, exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Perform analysis to evaluate financial impact and generate information for all PWC entities worldwide.
  • Based on data analysis, define, categorize and implement action plans to minimize exposure of PWC and its subsidiaries to tariffs.
  • Maintain and optimize KPIs related to customs process performance.
  • Implement actions, document processes and establish procedures with customs brokers and customers.
  • Distribute information to brokers and load values in systems such as SAP and Webcon.
  • Manage reporting and analysis of tariff impacts from export & import activities, mainly for Canadian and US entities.
  • Collaborate with the audit team to ensure Post Entry Corrections are made accurately and within required timelines.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure broker compliance.
  • Develop and maintain a controlled system to automate customs KPIs.
  • Participate in process mappings, quality clinics and define problem resolution plans and implement them to closure.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects by conducting data analysis and following up on action plans.
  • Support identification of process/system gaps and automate resolutions when applicable.
  • Keep abreast of customs compliance and legislation.
  • Develop and maintain the Customs Compliance Manual.
  • Document critical work instructions and key processes required for customs operations.
  • Maintain records of all customs-related data to answer internal customer inquiries.

What do you need to be successful?

  • University degree in Aeronautics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Logistics with 5 years of experience in industrial logistics and customs compliance, or degree in Business, Operations or Engineering with 2 years of experience in industrial logistics and customs compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills in data analysis, use of Power BI and analytics tools to drive a structured problem-solving approach.
  • Experience in process mapping and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of customs operations.
  • Knowledge of the aeronautics industry, including engineering, operations, supply management and logistics.
  • Bilingual French and English.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to respond efficiently to time-critical issues and competing/conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to work efficiently with different departments on site.
  • Excellent customer relationship/interpersonal skills, strong sense of urgency and ability to adapt to change.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Power BI.
  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) and/or Certified Export Specialist (CES) are assets.
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP software is an asset.

This position is part of a French-speaking work environment but requires very good knowledge of English to read and understand documentation and technical terms on a daily basis, and to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers and international colleagues.
