The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Supply Engineer Front Desk to join our Configuration management, Supply chain engineering and Anticipation team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with our spare parts distributor (Satair).

You will be part of theSupply chain engineering team responsible for:

  • Support Satair AOG COD/FHS AOG COD escalation for any spares solutions issues (spare AOG, alternatives request...)
  • Ensure all spares solutions are investigated within complete network of potential sources and propose optimum spare option(s) to customer
  • Investigate part alternatives for AOG events with associated technical declaration.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as Supply Engineer Front Desk , In service critical situation will be to:

  • Centralize for AOG events all material needs (parts and GSE)from either AOG Engineering or THD Centre teams and provide first availability analysis using all possible sources such as Satair AOG CODs, OEM Vendors, FHS, brokers…
  • Contribute in defining the optimum supply spare solution for the customer in AOG including investigation of alternative P/N from qualified source and product.
  • Coordinate with relevant functions, Satair AOG COD, Spares Engineer, OEM Vendors, FHS, Programs, Customers, Component On Demand, Warehouses and logistics/transports progress of selected solutions with PO placement, logistic and delivery to the Customers during AOG event.

Your challenges:

  • Bridge CRC, Satair AOG COD and FHS COD governance to ensure full alignment on AOG's priorities, acting as Supply coordinator within CRC;
  • Manage escalation received from Satair COD or FHS COD for any spare blocking items, with review of solutions supported by relevant functions and/or investigation on part alternative solutions,
  • Maintain overview of AOG Supply performance and report on a regular basis;
  • Provide AOG events Return of Experience analysis on spare and tools issues and contribute on recommendations for Spare anticipation with potential spare solutions (sources, stock...) in close collaboration with spare procurement team, FHS and supply program support;
  • Ensure feedback on OEM vendors performances to Airbus spare procurement and follow recovery plan;
  • Support A220 Program Configuration management for internal teams and Satair;
  • Control and manage configuration definition, using the (AM) standards and the configuration management tools;
  • Procure Interchangeability documentation to support customer demands;
  • Ensure quality of the Master Data for Customer Support activities.

Your profile:

  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in supply chain management or in the aerospace industry;
  • Ideally a university degree in a related Engineering discipline or Supply Chain;
  • Understanding of logistic flows and sales orders process;
  • General knowledge of A/C systems and structure;
  • Ability to read and consult Airbus documentations and drawings,
  • SATAIR and Repair organization and tasks knowledge;
  • Knowledge of SAP and Technical request;
  • Preferably experienced in Customer Services business or in Engineering and Supply/logistics;
  • Understand Customer operational constraints;
  • Solution oriented;
  • Good coordination and relational skills to deal with Suppliers, Customers and other Airbus departments under time pressure;
  • Ability to cope with highly demanding environment and possible conflict situation;
  • Team player in cross functional environment Evolving in multi-cultural context;
  • Fluent in English - French (asset).

This position is on a rotational shift, with some nights an week-ends.
