Procurement Specialist - Supplier Performance Management

We provide comprehensive operational, engineering and customer support solutions including maintenance, refurbishment, technical publications, marketing and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry. We are seeking a Senior Supplier Performance Management professional to join our team.

Position Summary

The Procurement Specialist – Supplier Performance Management will work collaboratively with MHIRJ departments to develop new sourcing channels, establish strategic alliances and maintain supplier partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers from commercial and contractual perspectives.
• Lead, develop and execute project-related strategies by drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers to meet approved business mandates within required timelines.
• Identify, analyze and realize cost-reduction opportunities across products.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and build effective internal and external professional networks.
• Support internal departmental requirements with appropriate complex sourcing strategies while optimizing synergy opportunities across the MHI group.
• Manage supplier performance during execution of complex initiatives and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Assist business requestors in applying contractual remedies for material breaches and lead negotiations for any claims against underperforming suppliers.
• Ensure contracts are maintained in accordance with MHIRJ procurement policies and business requirements.
• Maintain governance records and KPIs in line with procurement balance dashboard objectives.
• Identify and implement improvements to procurement processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, law or equivalent.
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing and contract management, ideally across multiple product lines.
• Experience in aerospace and/or manufacturing environments in a commercial role is an asset.
• Excellent negotiation skills, proven commercial and contractual experience, and legal knowledge.
• Willingness to share knowledge and coach team members.
• Comfortable managing large-scale projects and presenting complex strategies to senior management.
• Strong leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, focused and committed to meeting tight deadlines.
• Proven experience implementing cost-reduction initiatives.
• Ability to drive improvement and innovation to deliver tangible results to the organization.
• Highly autonomous and able to work without close supervision.
• Fluent communicator in both French and English (written and spoken).
• Strong financial management knowledge.
• Proficient with MS Office, ERP/S4 Hana and Power BI.
