Procurement Specialist - Supplier Performance Management

MHIRJ is the combination of two important legacies: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and the CRJ Series program. We provide comprehensive operations, engineering and customer support solutions, including maintenance, refurbishment, technical publications, and marketing and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry. We are looking for a Senior Supplier Performance Management Specialist to join our team!

Position Summary

The Procurement Specialist - Supplier Performance Management will work closely with MHIRJ departments to develop new sources of supply and establish strategic alliances while maintaining partnerships.

Your contribution as Procurement Specialist - Supplier Performance Management

• Establish and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers from a commercial and contractual perspective.
• Lead, develop and execute project-related strategies by drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers to meet approved mandates defined by business requestors within scheduled timelines.
• Identify, analyze and realize cost-reduction opportunities across all product lines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and develop effective internal and external professional networks.
• Support internal department requirements with appropriate complex sourcing strategies while optimizing synergy opportunities within the MHI group.
• Manage supplier performance during the execution of complex initiatives and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Support business requestors in applying contractual remedies for material breaches and lead negotiations of any claims against underperforming suppliers.
• Ensure contracts are maintained in accordance with MHIRJ procurement policies and business requirements.
• Maintain governance and KPI records in line with the objectives of the purchasing balance dashboard.
• Identify and implement improvements to procurement processes and tools.

What you need to succeed

• You hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, law, or equivalent.
• You have at least five (5) years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing and contract management, ideally across multiple product lines.
• Experience in the aerospace and/or manufacturing sector in a commercial role is an asset.
• You have excellent negotiation skills, proven commercial and contractual experience, and legal knowledge.
• You enjoy sharing knowledge and coaching team members.
• You are comfortable managing large-scale projects and presenting complex strategies to senior management.
• You have strong leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• You are detail-oriented, focused and committed to meeting tight deadlines.
• You have experience implementing cost-reduction initiatives.
• You can drive improvement and innovation to deliver tangible results for the organization.
• You are fully autonomous and do not require close supervision.
• You are highly proficient and a strong communicator in both French and English (written and spoken).
• You have solid financial management knowledge.
• You can work with MS Office, ERP/S4 HANA and Power BI.
