Procurement Specialist - Supplier Performance Management

MHIRJ is the merger of two important legacies: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and the CRJ Series program. We provide comprehensive operational, engineering, and customer support solutions, including maintenance, refurbishment, technical publications, marketing and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry. We are looking for a Senior Agent in Supplier Performance Management to join our ranks!

Position Summary

The Procurement Specialist - Supplier Performance Management will work in collaboration with MHIRJ departments to develop new sources of supply and establish strategic alliances, while maintaining partnerships to develop new sources of supply and establish strategic alliances.

Your contribution as Procurement Specialist - Supplier Performance Management

• Establish and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers from a commercial and contractual perspective;
• Lead, develop and execute project-related strategies by drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers to meet approved mandates defined by business requesters within scheduled timelines;
• Identify, analyze and realize cost reduction opportunities across all products.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and develop effective internal and external professional networks.
• Support internal department requirements with appropriate complex sourcing strategies while optimizing synergy opportunities within the MHI group.
• Manage supplier performance during the execution of complex initiatives and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Support business requesters in applying contractual remedies against substantial breaches and lead negotiations of any claims against non-performing suppliers.
• Ensure contracts are maintained in accordance with MHIRJ procurement policies and business requirements.
• Maintain records on governance and KPIs in accordance with the purchasing balance scorecard objectives.
• Identify and implement improvements on procurement processes and tools

Here's what it takes to succeed:

• You hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce and law or equivalent.
• You have at least five (5) years of relevant experience in strategic procurement and contract management, ideally across multiple products.
• You have experience in the aerospace and/or manufacturing industry, in a commercial role, an asset.
• You have exemplary negotiation skills, proven commercial and contractual experience, and legal knowledge.
• You enjoy sharing your knowledge and coaching your team members.
• You are comfortable managing large-scale projects and presenting complex strategies to the senior management team.
• You have strong leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• You are detail-oriented, focused, and committed to meeting tight deadlines.
• You have demonstrated experience in implementing cost reduction initiatives.
• You are able to drive improvement and innovation to deliver concrete results for the organization.
• You are fully autonomous and do not require close supervision.
• You have a strong command and are a good communicator in French and English (written and spoken).
• You have strong financial management knowledge.
• You can work with MS-Office, ERP/S4 Hana and Power BI.
