Repair Design Engineering Specialist

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for two (2) Repair Design Engineering Specialist to join our Customer Services organization based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with the Airbus Repair team based in Toulouse and Australia.

You will be part of the In-Service Engineering - Structural Repair Design team responsible for developing the ability of engineering specialists to establish and provide, for all fleets, timely and consistent solutions to daily technical questions raised by customer support for technical problems in operations.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your challenges:

  • Actively support the A220 In-Service Engineering Structures & Cabin team to ensure customer expectations are met;

  • Design specific repairs for metallic and composite damages exceeding Aircraft Structural Repair Publication (ASRP) limitations;

  • Design generic repairs for metallic and composite structures;

  • Offer technical support to operators with regards to repairability of their A220 fleet;

  • Perform investigation on in-service structural issues affecting reliability, dispatchability and repairability;

  • Participate in the design and support of structural modifications;

  • Represent A220 Customer Support in internal and external committees;

  • Participate in the continuous improvement initiatives of the Customer Support organization.

Your profile:

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a relevant experience of minimum of ten (10) years in the aerospace industry;

  • You have detailed knowledge of CATIA V5 (preferably R19) and Enovia;

  • You are comfortable in interrogating aircraft structure repair;

  • You have knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);

  • You are a dynamic person with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility, customer oriented and good judgment;

  • You are organized, able to manage your time and prioritize tasks effectively, while working toward tight deadlines;

  • You have knowledge of A220 engineering, drawing and configuration control systems (an asset);

  • You have detailed knowledge of airline operation, engineering and maintenance (an asset);

  • You have strong, written and spoken, communication skills in French and English.
