Responsibilities:

  • Analyze composite and hybrid structures in terms of static strength in accordance with validated methods.
  • Ensure compliance with airworthiness regulations, applicable design principles, processes and methods, and manufacturing capability guidelines.
  • Define, interpret, and validate tests.
  • Ensure interface and communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide relevant information to the Engineering Office for the development of manufacturing plans and support other functions (production, customer support, etc.) as needed.
  • Provide calculation analysis concerning the repair and acceptance of damaged structures.
  • Ensure monitoring, guidance, and support for subcontracted companies providing structural analysis work.

Desired Profile

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
  • You have at least five (5) years of experience with composite and metallic structure stress analysis techniques.
  • Experience on A220 structures is an asset.
  • Knowledge of software such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, CATIA V5, and MS Office is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Google Suite is an asset.
  • Prior experience working on an aircraft development or in-service support program, including certification, would be an asset.
  • Experience as a delegate within a Delegation of Authority (DAO) organization would be an asset.
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and are a team player.
  • Good communication and computer skills are essential.
