We are actively working on the feasibility study for the A220 new development which is an exciting milestone for the A220 Program. In this context we are looking for the right leader to embark on this journey.
The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Test Bench System Engineering Specialist to join our Flight Test department based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will be part of the Test Means team responsible of the test benches design and the experimental installations on our Flight Test Vehicles.
The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
Your role as a Test Bench System Engineering Specialist will be to manage the overall architectural development of an integrated flight-test systems test bench, combining all hydraulic, electrical, and flight control systems for an aircraft under development.

Your challenges:
- Lead the development of new ground test benches using an end-to-end approach through to commissioning.
- Provide system cost estimates.
- Maintain and operate the test bench facility to guarantee its availability and validity in accordance with customer needs, ground test architecture, and test resources.
- Train new employees within your area of expertise.
- Handle technical aspects of product integration and support (system- and network-level testing and troubleshooting, as well as software components).
- Translate functional requirements expressed by Centers of Competence (CoC) - engineering disciplines
- Strong skills in hardware and networking products (system knowledge), as well as experience in software/system integration, are required for this role.
Your boarding pass:
- Degree in electrical and/or mechanical engineering, a relevant technical degree, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with test bench instrumentation (experience on the A220 is an asset).
- In-depth expertise in test bench design.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset.
- Proactive mindset with an interest in the aerospace industry and systems integration.
- Resourceful and creative in achieving desired outcomes, with the ability to adapt to fast-evolving situations and emerging obstacles.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines within an integrated, multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to interact effectively with subject matter experts across a range of technical and operational topics.
Due to the sector of activity (aerospace), frequent contacts with Airbus entities worldwide, and interactions with suppliers and clients also located across the globe, proficiency in English is required for this position.
