The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for an Electrical Wiring Interconnection System Specialist to join our EWIS Integration & Support team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work on the design, development, and integration of electrical wiring interconnection systems.
You will be part of the EWIS Integration & Support team responsible for designing, analyzing, integrating, and ensuring regulatory compliance of electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS) for Airbus aircraft.
The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
Your role as Electrical Wiring Interconnection System Specialist will be to ensure EWIS design, development, validation, and compliance with airworthiness regulations while supporting production and in-service fleets.

Your challenges:
- Develop and analyze EWIS designs, including harness routing, component selection, and electrical schematics using specialized CAD tools.
- Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) assessments for EWIS components and systems.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (structural, systems, manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration of EWIS with aircraft systems.
- Participate in design reviews, validation testing, and certification activities for EWIS.
- Support manufacturing and assembly teams in resolving EWIS-related issues during production.
- Investigate and troubleshoot in-service EWIS issues, proposing effective solutions and corrective actions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of EWIS designs, specifications, and test results.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations (e.g., TCCA, EASA, FAA), and technological advancements in EWIS.
Your boarding pass:
- Educated to degree level (Bachelor's degree) in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid experience in EWIS design and analysis within the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in EWIS design software (e.g., CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE, Capital Harness XC).
- Strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems, wiring practices, and interconnection technologies.
- Knowledge of relevant airworthiness regulations (e.g., CS-25, FAR 25, TCCA, EASA) pertaining to EWIS.
- Experience with EWIS testing and certification processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and French.
Travel Required:
<5% Domestic and International.
