The Position

Air Canada is currently seeking Customer Experience Specialists to join its team at Thunder Bay airport. In this role, you will be in direct contact with our customers. You will play an important role in ensuring that all our flights are ready to depart safely on time, and by assisting customers at the airport, at every customer interaction point of their journey.

What will your day look like?

As a Customer Experience Specialist at Quebec City airport, you will be part of a dynamic and diverse team of Air Canada welcoming agents and representatives. You will need to contribute to the smooth running of the customer experience:

  • Check in customers, then prepare and issue boarding passes.
  • Assist customers during pre-boarding and provide information on flight schedules and connections.
  • Assist customers with special needs during their journey and ensure they get to their boarding gate and baggage claim on time and safely.
  • Move around the airport to reach the work areas to which you are assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Availability to attend and successfully complete a five to seven week full-time paid training.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts over a 24-hour period (including weekends and holidays).
  • Ability to walk long distances or stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and provide wheelchair service to customers with reduced mobility.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, to ensure punctuality.
  • Ability to meet Air Canada's attendance and dress code standards.
  • Customer service experience and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and solution-finding skills, in accordance with Air Canada policies and guidelines.
  • Attention to safety and security.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability to support the overall success of the team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the country concerned at the time the job offer is made. The search for any work permits/visas or other necessary authorizations is the sole responsibility of the candidates for this position.
