Hydro-Mechanical Service Engineering Specialist

MHIRJ is the combination of two significant legacies: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and the CRJ Series program. We provide comprehensive operational, engineering and customer support solutions, including maintenance, refurbishment, technical publications, and marketing and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry. We are seeking a Hydro-Mechanical Specialist for our Service Engineering team.

Position Summary

• Your primary responsibilities will be to provide support and troubleshoot short-term technical service issues for the CRJ aircraft series, performing permanent or temporary repairs to ensure a rapid return to service for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations.

Your Contribution as a Hydro-Mechanical Specialist

• Prepare and issue return-to-service documents and engineering deliverables (REO, Instructions, SNIEO) related to in-service repairs and modifications.
• Respond to technical questions from field service representatives (FSRs) and operators, and participate in conferences, technical reviews and periodic reports with operators.
• Monitor, analyze and improve in-service aircraft systems (flight control, hydraulics, landing gear), including defining and implementing modifications.
• Coordinate technical activities among suppliers, internal teams and operators to effectively resolve in-service issues.
• Conduct technical investigations, analyze in-service data and propose robust solutions in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Validate system performance through analyses, technical reviews, bench tests and in-service tests, and prepare or revise qualification and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with RM&S, simulation, customer support, operations and MRT teams, including occasional on-site support for repair incorporation and anomaly diagnosis.

What You Need to Succeed

• You have a university degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering. A specialization related to hydro-mechanical systems is preferred.
• You have experience in maintenance or technical support of hydro-mechanical systems; technical experience with the CRJ or Challenger series is an asset. Airline line maintenance experience is also an asset.
• You are familiar with Windows and Office software.
• You must have strong presentation skills and be able to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• You must have strong technical investigation skills.
• You are independent, enthusiastic, highly organized, customer-oriented, and willing to travel and be on call.

• English is required for this role as the selected candidate will regularly communicate with colleagues, customers or partners outside Quebec.
