In-Service Engineering Specialist (ISE)

We provide comprehensive operational, engineering and customer support solutions including maintenance, refurbishment, technical publications, marketing and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry.

Our In-Service Engineering team is looking for a In-Service Engineering Specialist (ISE) - Structure Repair

As part of your position, you will be called upon to:

• Be part of the engineering team responsible for the design of structural repairs, in accordance with regulations (TC, FAA, EASA, etc.) and MHIRJ requirements.
• Perform repair sizing, select structural configurations and materials (metallic and composite structures) in order to develop optimized repair schemes, while respecting tight customer schedules and deadlines.
• Develop repair solutions and submit them for compliance verification and approval to a Transport Canada Delegate of the Minister (DAD).
• Coordinate with other sections and departments to ensure the development of optimized and efficient repair solutions.
• Perform in-service aircraft damage assessment (occasional international travel required).
• Direct assistance, where applicable, to the MHIRJ Mobile Repair Team, including repair design and analysis, as well as instructions to operators regarding inspections required to return aircraft to service.

Qualifications

As an ideal candidate,

• You must have a bachelor's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering.
• You have between 3 and 5 years of experience
• You are a team player, have excellent oral and written communication skills and will be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced work environment.
• You possess good computer skills to use various software (including CATIA V5, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Experience in aircraft structural repair stress analysis is an asset.
• Bilingualism (English and French) would be an asset
