Job Summary

The Senior Specialist - Procurement Strategy and Risk Management plays a vital role in identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing costs, and ensuring a competitive and resilient supply chain. This position requires solid experience in procurement, business intelligence, and supplier negotiation to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and align sourcing strategies with long-term business objectives. The ideal candidate has strong experience in strategic sourcing and cross-functional collaboration within a complex supply chain.

Your contribution as a Senior Specialist - Procurement Strategy and Risk Management

Strategic Procurement and Supplier Management

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including:

• Definition of new sourcing sources for critical and new components.

• Drive tenders (RFPs), including design, deployment and analysis of results.

• Negotiate and establish new supplier contracts in alignment with the company's needs and growth plans.

• Perform Make-or-Buy analyses to evaluate sourcing decisions.

• Ensure coordination between teams to ensure the system is updated with new and relevant information.

• Manage the RFSE ("Request for Supplier Evaluation") process for new suppliers, including First Article Inspections ("FAI") and performance improvement.

Cost Management and Market Analysis

• Drive cost reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations and sourcing optimization.

• Gather and analyze data and market research to track industry trends, benchmarks, and value chain relevant part profiles.

• Oversee Pricing & Offering (P&O) activities, ensuring price accuracy and supplier compliance with the project.

• Identify opportunities for managing excess and idle inventory, including resale or part upgrading.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Business Integration

• Act as a liaison between supply chain value streams and other organizational departments.

• Integrate and align value stream strategy with the medium-term sales plan to support business growth.

Here is what is needed to succeed:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, procurement, or a related field.

• Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing sector is an asset.

• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, contract execution, and cost reduction strategies.

• Strong experience in market data analysis and procurement project management.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) and procurement tools.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Ability to analyze data and formulate recommendations.

• Excellent problem-solving and dispute-resolution skills.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work in a dynamic and high-pressure environment while managing multiple priorities.

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken. English is required for the position as the selected person will regularly communicate with colleagues, clients, or partners located outside Quebec.
