Job overview

The incumbent is responsible for leadership and direction of repair services for Engine Accessories, LRUs and engine parts sent to suppliers for repair or vendor-managed services. The Senior, Vendor & Repair Management Specialist ensures the team meets key objectives, provides guidance to supporting team members and buyers, and maximizes benefit for FTAI Aviation. Team members are located across Canada and the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure execution of repair-service strategies through the repair order life cycle, including same-day flow on order commitments, timely promise dating, monitoring on-time delivery and revised delivery dates, price adherence at the PO level to contracts, and PO discrepancy resolution.
  • Provide 1st-level direct support to leadership and direction to the active buyer team.
  • Facilitate team performance to ensure operational targets for key objectives are met.
  • Ensure daily shortages, deviations, and escalations are resolved and communicated.
  • Lead vendor management calls and support daily operations reviews.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with internal customers to develop and deploy creative solutions for issues regarding repair orders and vendors.
  • Develop and implement robust, systemic and repeatable processes that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets and presentations for management review and other reporting requirements, including customer-centric reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in similar industrial and/or aerospace positions.
  • Strong knowledge of engine repair cycle and maintenance operations (desired).
  • Ability to assess business risk and make decisions relative to operational objectives and targets; ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, customer-first attitude, organizational awareness and behaviors.
  • Ability to mentor and facilitate relationships between Operations, Programs and Contracts.
  • Financial knowledge related to make vs. buy, repair vs. BER and similar analyses.
  • Fluent in speaking, writing and reading English and French (required).
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and able to take ownership of tasks and projects.
  • Teamwork culture, including developing and maintaining relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of initiative and urgency.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience using procurement tools.
  • Strong ability to work independently.
  • Understanding of aerospace repair management cycle (desired).
