Job description

The project support specialist is responsible for supporting aerospace projects throughout their lifecycle by participating in planning, scheduling, risk management, performance monitoring, reporting, and change management activities. This role ensures that project objectives, milestones, and contractual requirements are met while ensuring compliance with company processes and industry standards. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to support the efficient and timely delivery of projects.

More specifically:

  • Project planning and scheduling, including work breakdown structures (WBS).
  • Risk and opportunity management.
  • Performance monitoring (milestone tracking), control, reporting, and phase reviews.
  • Configuration control of contractual data and change management.
  • Management of the implementation of project management processes and tools.
  • This position requires awareness of potential compliance risks as well as a commitment to act with integrity, essential elements for the company's success, reputation, and sustainable growth.

Your profile

The ideal candidate has experience supporting complex projects in the aerospace or engineering sectors, from planning through execution and delivery. They are proficient in project planning and scheduling, work breakdown structures (WBS), milestone tracking, risk and opportunity management, and project performance reporting.

The candidate must be comfortable coordinating multidisciplinary teams, tracking project progress, supporting phase reviews, and meeting deadlines, budgets, and contractual requirements. Experience in configuration control, change management, and project management tools is a significant asset.

Experience in the aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, or highly regulated environments is preferred, as is a good understanding of compliance requirements and quality standards. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential to effectively support project managers and stakeholders.

  • 3 to 10 years or more of experience in project coordination, project control, PMO, or project management support.
  • Experience in the aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, engineering, defense, or transport sectors.
  • Experience with WBS, schedules, milestones, key performance indicators (KPIs), and reports.
  • Experience in risk and opportunity management.
  • Experience in change management and configuration control.
  • Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, SAP, Power BI, Excel, Jira, or similar tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience in supporting audits, compliance, and process implementation.
