We are actively working on the feasibility study for the A220 new development which is an exciting milestone for the A220 Program. In this context we are looking for the right leader to embark on this journey.

The A220 commercial aircraft program is seeking a Technical Simulator Specialist to join our Flight Test and Integration Center team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada). You will be working in close collaboration with the Airbus test team based in Toulouse.

You will be part of the Bench and Simulator Operations team, responsible for coordinating all activities related to the preparation, maintenance, and execution of tests on our ground test facilities. The team's organization is established to promote autonomous, cross-functional collaboration, mutual support, and collective learning.

Your role as a Technical Simulator Specialist will be to provide technical expertise related to the hardware and software integration of test facilities, support investigation and problem-solving, and ensure the transfer of technical knowledge within the ground test facilities team.

Your Challenges:

  • In the context of future programs, support the deployment and integration of new test benches, both on the hardware and software side.
  • Act as a point of contact for the maintenance and upkeep of test facilities.
  • Support AOG (Aircraft on Ground) efforts during issues on test benches.
  • Responsible for supporting the investigation and resolution of problems related to test benches.
  • Excellent knowledge of airborne systems and their communication protocols (A429, A664, etc)
  • Participate in technological modernization decisions by providing technical recommendations.
  • Ensure constant technological monitoring to propose technical improvements (automation, diagnostic tools) aimed at increasing simulator performance.
  • Define and maintain technical standards and procedures to ensure rigorous long- and medium-term management of test facilities.
  • Follow processes related to test bench compliance and conformity.

Your Profile:

  • Experienced, autonomous, and rigorous specialist in complex and unique high-tech simulation means.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in an aerospace engineering or high-tech environment, primarily related to aeronautical simulation.
  • Ability to solve hardware and software problems.
  • Proven ability to foster team spirit and collaboration, as well as lead and train technical teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Solid experience in integration tests, including configuration and connectivity of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in French and English (oral and written).
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Due to the sector of activity (aerospace), frequent contacts with Airbus entities worldwide, and interactions with suppliers and clients also located across the globe, proficiency in English is required for this position.

Travel Required: <10% national and international travel.
