The position is based at our Longueuil location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

The candidate will be an active member of the Research and Technology team responsible for deploying Additive Manufacturing (AM) for production in our commercial engines. The team works closely with designers, analysts, manufacturing engineers, materials engineers and process specialists. The candidate will mostly perform office work in an extremely interactive environment with direct relationship and full support from senior engineers. What will your day-to-day look like?

The role is in the Additive Manufacturing team within the Product Technology department, to manage and drive AM technology projects. You will be an active leader in deploying the knowledge, tools, systems and controls to incorporate AM production parts into our engines.

1. Technology Project Management: coordinate execution of multiple AM projects, create business cases, validate costing tools, prepare communications for executives, plan and deploy training.

2. Material Development: participate in material characterization by creating test plans, coordinating coupon testing, analyzing material data and producing material testing reports.

3. Design: evaluate parts for AM manufacturability, propose and implement design changes, document AM design best practices, create training materials and support designers.

What do you need to be successful?

• Be eligible to work in Canada.

• Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.

• Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired, if applicable.

• Skills in 3D modeling, ideally with CATIA.

• Experience in designing and manufacturing AM parts.

• Understanding of different aerospace manufacturing processes (machining, casting, etc.).

• Basic knowledge in metallurgy.

• Spoken and written French/English bilingual.

• Strong and clear communication skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms, and to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
