Internship dates: January 5th to April 23th , 2027.

Location: 1000 Bd Marie-Victorin, Longueuil, J4G 1A1, Québec, Canada.

What your day to day will look like:

  • Process monitoring: Reviewing KPIs, dashboards, and metrics to spot inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
  • Root cause analysis: Digging into data trends (e.g., production delays, customer complaints, quality issues).
  • Team meetings: Facilitating stand-ups or improvement huddles with frontline staff and managers.
  • Kaizen events: Running short, focused workshops to brainstorm and implement quick wins.
  • Training & coaching: Teaching Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile tools to employees so they can solve problems themselves.
  • Pilot projects: Testing new workflows, automation tools, or standard operating procedures.
  • Change management: Supporting teams through transitions, ensuring buy-in and reducing resistance.
  • Documentation: Updating process maps, SOPs, or value stream maps to reflect improvements.
  • Progress tracking: Comparing today’s improvements against baseline metrics.
  • Reporting: Preparing updates for leadership on cost savings, efficiency gains, or quality improvements.
  • Continuous learning: Reviewing case studies, industry benchmarks, or new methodologies to stay sharp.

What you need to be successful:

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • Currently in the third or fourth year of the program.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
