Our expectations
Our team is at the center of operations. We are managing a new engine program. The internship involves project management while interacting with various groups such as engineering and supply management. The internship provides the possibility of having a global vision of the life cycle of our products, with a focus on development and entry into production phases.
What your day to day will look like
Assist the Operations Engineering team in their key activities such as:
- Support a portion of the operations engineer's module and report module status
- Participate in integrated team meetings to ensure module progress on all fronts (configuration, orders, on-time delivery, cost, quality)
- Identify risks and mitigation plans; resolve issues impacting deliveries (internal & external suppliers)
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings with different groups when required to solve an issue or find a solution
- Set up Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to report different aspects of the business (% parts received, % purchase orders placed)
What you need to be successful
Must haves:
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship
- Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Aerospace disciplines in 3rd or 4th year
- Dynamic, creative and organized person with the following competencies/skills:
- Project management, strong interpersonal skills, team player
- Ability to gather and influence stakeholders towards a solution
- Autonomous, adaptable, strong analytical skills
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
Assets
- Power BI knowledge would be a plus
Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
