Internship dates: January 5th to April 23rd, 2027.

Location: The position is based at our Longueuil location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Why join our team ?

The candidate will be a member of the Gear Custodian Team. With the help of experienced analysts, and depending on the schedule, priorities, student capabilities, preferences and autonomy, the candidate will assist/support many projects of the team with an objective of continuous improvement. The candidate will support various projects that could potentially be related to support research on gears scuffing and micro pitting. If you are a professional capable of working autonomously and you want to develop a deep knowledge of the discipline and transmission engineer job function, please apply.

What your day to day will look like:

  • Support research project on gears scuffing and micro pitting. Communicate with Customer Support and Manufacturing to gather field data and gear inspection data
  • Update various process documents, databases and methodologies.
  • Validate new analysis methods.
  • Collect data from maintenance and repair shops.
  • Support on-going research projects in the housing team.

What you need to be successful ?

Must haves:

  • Be eligible to work in Canada
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable
  • Pursuing a degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering bachelor– minimum of 2 years is required
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English (spoken/written).

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
