As an intern within the Enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (EPLM) organization, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the Engine Product Definition (EPD) team, specifically within the Product Definition Integration (PDI) group. The PDI group is responsible for building and maintaining the engine’s Digital Mock-Up (DMU)—a full 3D integration of CAD models that represents a complete engine.This internship offers a unique chance to gain exposure to the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and contribute to the development of critical technical documentation such as Major Assembly Drawings, Installation Drawings, Clear Index Charts, and Tables of Limits, which are essential for engine certification and compliance.You will be immersed in a multidisciplinary engineering environment, collaborating closely with experienced professionals in project engineering, design, component drafting, configuration management, and development planning. What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Produce and revise 2D technical drawings and 3D models based on engineering concepts and specifications.
  • Ensure drawings comply with industry and internal standards (e.g., GD&T, ASME Y14.5).
  • Support drafting colleagues and design engineers in integrating design changes.
  • Maintain drawing databases and documentation archives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (drafting, engineering, operations and customer service) to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.
  • This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation and excellence. The candidate will be asked to apply knowledge of mechanical drafting and geometric tolerancing.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., CATIA or SolidWorks).
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, tolerancing, and materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Assets considered an advantage (not mandatory): Knowledge of aerospace standards or experience in aerospace, knowledge of ENOVIA, ECATES, DNA and assembly or hands-on experience.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
