Internship dates: January 5th to April 23th, 2027
Location: The position is based at our Longueuil facility, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?
Under the supervision of the Technical Manager in the Reliability and Maintenance Services Department, the Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for implementing initiatives and best practices related to equipment improvement and reliability project management. The primary objective will be to assist the team in achieving the 2027 targets for the Longueuil manufacturing center. The technical support specialist will work with various company departments to contribute expertise and best practices that will benefit the maintenance of production equipment.
- Provide impeccable customer service to help achieve production goals
- Monitor special improvement projects on the shop floor
- Develop, optimize, and standardize maintenance plans
- Implement and introduce new maintenance procedures
- Conduct weekly statistical analysis (MTBF, MTTR, OEE)
- Evaluate alternatives with the production team for obsolete equipment
What do you need to be successful?
- Be eligible to work in Canada.
- Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
- Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
- Be fluent in French (advanced level: spoken and written)
- Currently pursuing studies in the field of engineering or Operations and Production Management (OPM)
- Proficient in basic Office software (primarily: Excel, Outlook, OneNote)
Assets
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently, leadership skills, a sense of priorities, initiative, and diplomacy
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, lean manufacturing principles, and SAP software
Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
