Internship dates: January 5 to April 23, 2027

Location: The position is based at our Longueuil location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Why join our team?

Support technology development projects related to metrology, the metrology team at PWC in responsible for the research and the development of innovative solutions to improve the dimensional measurement of turbine engine components. The student will be a member of the development team and will carry out test plans, development of documentation, training and implementation of innovative solutions

What will your day-to-day look like?

• The student will be directly involved in the digital transformation of our manufacturing practices by participating in the following:
• Digitalization of the engine part definition, product manufacturing information (PMI) and their use in CAD software used for process planning, CNC & CMM programming.
• Develop applications or algorithms to analyze, transfer or transform data relative to the product definition, PMI, or manufacturing methods to automate or increase efficiency of related activities.
• Evaluate and test third party solutions to various opportunities pertaining to the digital transformation.
• Define and test use cases for data science to extract value from the PMI and manufacturing data.
• The student will be part of a large and dynamic multidisciplinary team. The student will participate in the design of the chosen solutions. Documentation and presentation of the findings to the team will be required.

What do you need to be successful?

• Be eligible to work in Canada.
• Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
• Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
• Pursuing studies in computer science, mechanical or aeronautical engineering

Assets:

• Knowledge of CATIA V5 or CATIA V6.
• Knowledge of one or more of the following programming concepts or languages: VBA, C#, HTML, python, SQL.
• Experience linked to mechanical design (3D modeling, drafting, GD&T).
• Experience linked to part manufacturing using CAM software.
• Experience linked to part inspection (CMM, 3D scan, or other).
• Be organized and able to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
• Project management abilities.
• At ease when collaborating with multiple people.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to communicate effectively with international stakeholders and understand technical documentation.
