Internship dates: January 5th to April 23th , 2027.

Location: The position is based at our Longueuil location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

During the internship, the student will have the opportunity to expand their technical knowledge of aircraft turbine engines, with a focus on in-service performance, proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and the development of associated solutions.

• The intern will be expected to work collaboratively within a team environment and proactively seek support from engineering when required.
• They will interact with various departments within P&WC, as well as with engine service centers.
• In addition, the intern will work with multiple software tools and databases to integrate different types of information and parameters, enabling the analysis and identification of proactive trends.
• The intern will also provide administrative support, such as preparing presentations and participating in data gathering.

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Support Customer Engineers in resolving technical issues;
• Analyzing business aviation engine reliability data, including hours and operating cycles, event symptoms and root causes, recurrence trends, and potential solutions;
• Study the impact of technical improvements on in-service engines to observe the long-term effects on the fleet, in order to plan required parts and maintenance facility capacity;
• Analyze costs and technical causes associated with warranty claims, identify trends, and propose technical solutions in collaboration with engineers;
• Contribute to the improvement and standardization of the content in business aircraft engine maintenance manuals.

What do you need to be successful?

• Be eligible to work in Canada.
• Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
• Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
• Pursue studies in mechanical, electrical, software, physics, industrial, or aerospace engineering.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
