We invite you to work at Airbus Atlantique, a new global champion, #2 in aerostructures, #1 in pilot seats, and in the Top 3 for Premium passenger seats. Our Airbus Atlantique site based in Mirabel is looking for its future Purchasing Supervisor.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the purchasing manager, the Purchasing Supervisor acts as the primary point of contact and operational pivot for the procurement team. A true facilitator and coach, they coordinate cross-functional activities, ensure the resolution of internal and external (supplier) escalations, and anticipate supply chain disruption risks to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

Coordination & Team Management

  • Coordinate and coach the team of buyers/procurement specialists, distribute workload, and identify training needs;
  • Support the sector manager in administrative management (access, tracking) and provide backup as needed;
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration between purchasing, sales support, project management, and quality (SCQM);
  • Define individual/collective objectives and ensure the development of the team's skills.

Operational Management & Risk Mitigation

  • Manage crises and escalations: Prioritize major issues (production stoppages, missing parts) with internal partners and suppliers;
  • Ensure deliveries: Ensure compliance with supplier commitments regarding deadlines (OTD), quality (OQD), volumes, and costs;
  • Deploy action plans: Conduct supplier performance recovery actions jointly with the SCQM team;
  • Support change: Support the introduction of new products (NPI), the application of new procedures, and logistic transformation projects.

Analysis, Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive performance (KPIs): Prepare and analyze key indicators (order fulfillment rate, inventory, savings, workload);
  • Implement analysis tools: Create and maintain automated dashboards for monitoring key data (e.g., missing parts);
  • Synthesize and report: Consolidate operational information intended for management and propose long-term solutions to optimize the supply chain.

Profile Sought

  • Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in operations management, logistics, business administration, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in purchasing, including significant experience in team management/supervision;
  • Experience in the aerospace sector and project management is an asset;
  • Good mastery of automation tools and dashboard creation;
  • Proven ability to design and manage performance indicators (KPIs);
  • Advanced level of French and English (oral and written) required for international negotiations and interactions;
  • Ability to prioritize, define strategic axes, and act as a proactive force of proposal;
  • Aptitude to summarize complex situations and escalate appropriately to management;
  • Proactive, courteous posture focused on teamwork and pragmatic problem solving.
