Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join its Quality team.

This position involves a real regulatory responsibility: as an authorized signatory, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality activities related to:

• manufacturing,
• supplier monitoring,
• failure analyses,
• as well as field interventions,

comply with the requirements of Transport Canada, the FAA, and the EASA.

You will report to the Quality Manager and work closely with the teams:

• engineering,
• operations,
• as well as with external partners,

to maintain and develop the quality system that supports all company activities.

You will join the company at a strategic moment when it is strengthening and further formalizing its quality management practices.

Quality System, Compliance and Audits

You will be required to:

• Maintain and audit the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with:
  • Canadian regulations (CARs),
  • FAA (14 CFR Part 145),
  • EASA Part 145.
• Develop, review, and approve:
  • test plans,
  • procedures,
  • work instructions,
  • quality documentation,
  • release documents (8130-3 / Form One).
• Conduct internal audits.
• Participate in external audits carried out by:
  • Transport Canada,
  • customers,
  • certification bodies (AS9100 in particular).
• Monitor and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) until their closure.
• As an authorized signatory, ensure that all manufacturing and assembly operations are carried out in accordance with:
  • the Quality Manual,
  • the Canadian Aviation Regulations.

Inspection, Supplier Quality and Customer Quality

You will notably need to:

• Supervise the incoming inspections of purchased components:
  • LRU,
  • electronic boards (PCB),
  • electrical harnesses,
  • cabin components.
• Evaluate and qualify suppliers.
• Conduct supplier audits.
• Monitor their performance.
• Manage corrective action plans.
• Process:
  • non-conformities reported by customers,
  • claims,
  • warranty requests.
• Participate in customer inspections and technical visits.
• Prepare First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) when required.

Failure analysis and continuous improvement

You will be responsible for:

• Leading failure analyses.
• Preparing reports for:
  • internal teams,
  • customers.
• Implementing continuous improvement actions using methods:
  • 5 Why,
  • Ishikawa,
  • 8D.
• Monitoring quality indicators (KPIs).
• Presenting results to management.
• Participating in the Manufacturing Review Board.

Requirements

Experience

• 5 to 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance in the aerospace sector.
• Direct experience in this industry is essential.

Technical skills

• Very good knowledge of:
  • Transport Canada regulations,
  • CARs (Canadian Aviation Regulations),
  • quality requirements applicable to aerospace products.
• Knowledge of AS9100 standard.
• Experience with FAA and EASA quality requirements is a significant asset.
• Experience in:
  • supplier management,
  • corrective action management,
  • quality supervision in production.
• Ability to:
  • read,
  • interpret,
  • maintain

technical and quality documentation.

• Very high rigor and sense of responsibility related to the role of authorized signatory.
• Excellent communication skills with:
  • engineering,
  • operations,
  • external partners.
• Proficiency in English and French.
