Job description

Do you have experience in operations management and/or as an operations supervisor, have you worked in the aerospace industry and are you looking to advance and develop new skills? This position could be for you.

The A220 commercial aircraft programme is seeking a supervisor to join the operations team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada).

The team is organized to promote autonomous, cross-functional collaboration with mutual support and collective learning.

Your challenges

  • Exercise your leadership while respecting the company's vision and values.

  • Work under pressure and engage your team to meet strict deadlines.

  • Manage your team's performance using KPIs.

  • Manage the workload and individual performance of unionized employees; ensure continuous improvement through problem-solving processes.

  • Coach a team (15–25 employees) to develop talent within the organisation.

  • Identify, document and standardise key processes; optimise knowledge sharing and best practices across the organisation.

Your profile

  • Management experience in a unionized environment, ideally in manufacturing or aerospace.

  • Excellent management skills.

  • Strong leadership, judgement and flexibility; able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines and comfortable working under pressure; strong sense of urgency.

  • Strong communication skills and a good understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

  • Fluency in French and English.

Possible on-call duties during weekends and/or holiday seasons.
