Job Objective:

The Avionics Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the functions assigned to the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft and components, parts, and accessories in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance, and report any discrepancies to the appropriate entity.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all avionics maintenance activities for business aircraft;
• Work with coordinators for labor and avionics project planning;
• Work with team leaders to supervise the production of all avionics activities;
• Work with the Quality Assurance department to ensure aircraft documentation is complete and correct;
• Ensure that tooling, equipment, and parts are available to maintenance personnel to effectively and safely perform assigned work;
• Review customer invoices, if necessary;
• Participate in operations, maintenance, and staff meetings;
• Avionics maintenance and personnel planning;
• Play an active role in the safety management system;
• Any other assigned task.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Aircraft Maintenance Technician diploma or equivalent, at minimum;
• Valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license; E category;
• Experience with a high degree of proficiency in Canadian engineering development for Transport Canada approval, SSTC, STC, SB, AD; experience working with engineering companies and/or teams for avionics modification with associated structural upgrades;
• Certified experience with all OEM avionics products and/or systems; Rockwell Collins, Universal Avionics, Honeywell, Garmin, L-3 Communications, GoGo, etc.;
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment;
• Ability to produce high-quality work both individually and within a team;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills; established network;
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in avionics production support.
