Position summary
Reporting to Operations management, the Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising aircraft repair and touch-up activities on the assembly line. The role manages an aircraft assembly team and ensures interventions are completed on schedule while meeting the company's quality, safety and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities
- Organize production activities and manage a team of about 20 workers to meet forecasts and maximize available resources.
- Coordinate aircraft repair and touch-up operations according to production priorities and customer needs.
- Ensure work complies with technical specifications and the company's quality standards.
- Work closely with other departments to resolve technical and logistical issues.
- Provide technical support to the team and ensure they have the necessary skills.
- Analyze performance data and implement continuous improvement plans to optimize processes.
- Prepare and present progress reports and performance indicators to management.
Profile and requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in operations management, industrial engineering, or another relevant field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years in a supervisory role, ideally in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Understanding of manufacturing or repair processes in an industrial environment.
- Proficiency with Excel, Google Workspace, Power BI and/or other data visualization tools.
- Organizational skills, proactivity and excellent problem-solving ability in emergency situations.
- Strong ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
- Fluency in French and ideally English.
The role combines office work and presence on the shop floor; strict adherence to health and safety rules is essential.
